CRYSTAL PALACE vs BURNLEY (1500)
The end finally came for Roy Hodgson. Palace moved swiftly to appoint Oliver Glasner as his successor. The former Eintracht Frankfurt boss has his work cut out and will face a stern test against near relegation certainties Burnley. Should be a good – or at least an interesting – game. Home win.
MANCHESTER UNITED vs FULHAM (1500)
Something seems to have turned to Man U’s benefit. They’re one result away from European qualification while today’s visitors sit cozily in 12th spot with little left to play for this season. Home win.
BOURNEMOUTH vs MANCHESTER CITY (1730)
After a morale-boosting run of good form, the Cherries find themselves without a win in their last six outings. Make that seven. Away win.
ARSENAL vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (2000)
The Geordies have been painfully inconsistent this season. For the most part, Arsenal haven’t and will look to maintain their pursuit of a top two finish. Home win.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs SHEFFIELD UNITED (1330)
The game’s long been up for the Blades. Wolves are safe with no prospect of qualifying for Europe. Which makes you wonder why this game’s been selected for TV. Goals galore? Home win.
*MONDAY*
WEST HAM UNITED vs BRENTFORD (2000)
Double, double, toil and trouble. If you’re superstitious, stop reading now. Brentford are close to establishing the evil eye over the Irons and their manager, having done the double over us last season and won the corresponding game back just after Halloween. David Moyes has lost all his Premier League meetings with Brentford. Our recent run of form will only add encouragement to the West London cause. Fire burn and cauldron bubble. Mind you, the Bees have lost 11 out of their last 14 games, a run that began following their 3-2 win over us, so it’s not all bad. Brentford’s major strength is getting forward quickly, so our defence will have to be sharp to close down the rapid counter – and the threat of Ivan Toney. Kalvin Phillips misses out after his damn fool red card last time. That may or may not be a bad thing, for fair is foul and foul is fair. As for the result this evening… your guess is as good as any. Home win.
*CHAMPIONSHIP*
Well, it’s all happening in the country’s most exciting division. Last night’s vital game at the top saw Leeds mount a late, late show to despatch leaders Leicester and reclaim second spot ahead of Ipswich and Southampton. The Tractor Boys had to wait until the last minute to beat bottom side Rotherham by the odd goal in seven in midweek, and today take on mid-table Birmingham in what should be a routine outing. The Saints host Millwall, which could see the Lions fall into the relegation places if QPR also beat bottom side Rotherham. High time for a Millwall Relegation thread?

The Man Utd v Liverpool tie throws up one question.
Why were they not kept apart?
This is the dream final the TV companies and sponsors yearn for, the draw is usually bent so that these two avoid each other for as long as possible.
Or so I keep reading on here.

We were linked with that Branthwaite before he was a regular.
No chance now as bigger teams are circling
We need to find these other players BEFORE they go to Brighton.
Lamptey was at Chelsea so sure we would have seen him

Went to Brighton v Everton yesterday as it's 45 mins from me and took my wife's grandson to his 1st game as he lives in Brighton
Enjoyed it as I used it as a chance to observe a few players
Top of that list was Tariq Lamptey, best player on the park
Would be a decent replacement for Coufal and at 22 has a long future ahead of him
Next, Simon Adingra, left winger who they signed from Nordsjælland, same team they signed Ibrahim Osman
Fantastic player, electric pace, tricky and a good shot on him.
Finally, Jarrod Branthwaite from Everton
The kid is a monster destined for the very top

I think they are 8 points behind 4th now. Top 3 is done. I watched the game and they were utterly dreadful, barely laid a glove on Fulham's goal and a very passive crowd, would have been a travesty had they even got a point. They missed the Danish lad up top.

I thought Man City did it by the skin of their teeth tbh, they really are not firing on all cylinders and haven’t in the PL for a few on the trot now but still got the wins
Would rather see them win the PL than those other 2 whose fans are insufferable!
The Man U game made me laugh though I’m sure there fans where expecting them to win in all that stoppage time, nice seeing “Fergie” time backfire……

Zico - Yep, I was one who thought it worthwhile bringing him in as an impact sub, he skinned those defenders yesterday to set up the winner. I'd stop short of saying I think we 'missed out' but it would surprise me if folk can't see why he would be useful of the bench late on.
I watched the Cherries highlights, funny sometimes how scoring a goal looks to be the hardest thing in the world, they wouldn't have scored had they stayed out there all night. Haaland looked like CFC, and he usually scores against the lesser sides.

That last Fulham goal is exactly what I said about someone like Traore being handy when you are under the cosh. He isn't going to score many but that power and pace will get you up the pitch. Bit like Antonio two or three years ago! But Danny Ings is expected to do that!

I dont like Arsenal BUT The stats say it all at HT at the Emirates!
Newcastle 0 shots on Goal, 0 attempts! you don't see that very often. In fact the only stat they register is 3 fouls. LOL
Some tough and inspiring words from Eddie Howe if they are going to turn this around.
